Kacy NeSmith

Kacy NeSmith is a highly experienced Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in primary care, critical care nursing, diabetic education, and medical instruction. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Southern University, graduating cum laude, and later completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Kacy is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients across Southeast Georgia.

Kacy joined Southern Family Medicine in Statesboro in 2021 and has extensive experience treating both acute and chronic medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, asthma, COPD, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. In addition to her work in family medicine, she has served as an adjunct instructor at Ogeechee Technical College, where she taught Anatomy & Physiology courses and helped prepare future healthcare professionals for their careers. Her diverse nursing background also includes intensive care, cardiac care, hospice, home health, and diabetic education.

Kacy is passionate about building strong relationships with her patients and helping families achieve healthier lives through preventive care and patient education. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her four daughters and being actively involved in her community and family life.
